Craig Schaeffer, PE, PLS
Survey Dept. & Project Manager
Craig holds dual licensure as a Professional Engineer and Professional Land Surveyor in Montana, Idaho, and Washington. In his 23 years of professional experience, he has assisted and managed every aspect of the project development process, from preliminary concept planning to construction closeout. Craig has contracted with every type of client, from single private landowners to federal agencies. Project types have spanned every civil discipline including airport, mining, transportation, land planning and development, municipal water/wastewater, environmental, and natural resources. At 406 Engineering, Craig is responsible for the development of our survey support services, as well as managing and assisting in the delivery of our clients’ planning, design, and construction solutions. While not focused on those tasks, Craig keeps busy volunteering as a coach, board member, and/or fan for youth hockey, baseball, ski racing, fishing, gaming, mountain biking, boy scouts, and waterskiing activities. He occasionally gets to pull his own ski(s), rod, boat, gun, or stick out and participate with folks closer to his own age!
